19:30 hours, called the meeting to order.
1.0 Introduction
| Host, Chief Hank Neff welcomed all quests and introduced Bill
Morris, Councilor for Rideau Lakes Township who welcomed everyone
attending tonight's meeting. |
2.0 Guest Speakers

John Stratic - TSSA gave a brief information session on TSSA
role and availability in investigating fuel leaks or improper
installations.
Alec MacDonald - Ottawa/Carlton Fire Department gave a demonstration
on Auto Extrication and did an Air Bag Demonstration. The
World Auto Extrication Competition and Symposium will be held
in Ottawa in September 2003.

a honorary member of the Mutual Aid Committee. To be voted

· Nothing to report at this time
6.2 Fire Prevention - Dan Prest
· There will be a Fire Alarm installation and inspection
seminar to be held on May 8, 2003 at Elizabethtown-Kitley
Station #2 in New Dublin.
· Risk Watch Coalition - Gary Seed, Lindsey Penney,
Dan Prest and Randy Burke are representatives on this committee.
There will be a "Race Against Drugs" program held
the week of May 27 -30 at the Memorial Centre in Brockville.
6.3 Training- Wayne Shields
· The next Trainers Committee meeting is May 14, 2003
in Athens
· They are working on holding a information session
regarding the Train Derailment that occurred in Bellville
last fall.

· Mutual reports - there was activation by Leeds &
1000 Islands on April 15, 2003.
· Peter will check with the United Counties regarding
our request for the 2003 Mutual Aid Levy
· Don Buffet will send out letters regarding the Z endorsement

10.1 Memorial Parade - Ed Dempster on
behalf of the Gananoque Fire Department agreed to host the
Memorial Parade again this year as no other department had
come forward to host the parade. More details will come at
a later date.
10.2 The Older and Wiser Committee -
will attend the Safe Community Week to beheld at the 1000
Islands Mall in Brockville on Wednesday and Thursday. Are
looking for volunteers to help man the booth.

A reminder that the November meeting was originally
scheduled for the regular 2nd Tuesday of the month, however, since
