9 departments were represented, with 45 current members in attendance and 4 honorary members. President, Jim Grant called the meeting to order at 19:30 hours.

1.0 Introduction

Chief Bob Allingham welcomed everyone and introduced quests.

2.0 Guest Speaker

Pamela Musgrave from Muscular Dystrophy thanked the fireman for their support over the years. In Dec/05 government changed the law so we can now collect on the roads. Since 1999 Safe Streets lost $1.7 million. In Leeds/Grenville, 11 Departments donated $40,988.30 in 2005. In all Eastern Ontario, $212,000 was raised and $890,898 in all of Ontario. Pamela handed out plaques to the Departments who raised money.

3.0 Adoption of Minutes

The minutes of the March 10, 2006 meeting were read.

7.0 Coordinators Report- Chief Harry Jones

Risk Watch is starting in September in the schools of the Upper Canada School Board. We need some discussion with the other Mutual Aid groups to make it work better.
Money from the United Counties is coming shortly.
Deputy Chief Chris Dwyer reminded us that any activations of mutual aid need to be reported to the co-ordinator within a week of the event
Deputy Chief Dwyer is updating the mutual aid plan.
Chief Jones reported that Peter O'Hara has been hired back at 20 hours per week to help Noel Vaillancourt with the Office of the Fire Marshall.

9.0 New Business

9.1 Chief Ron Barber spoke about Camp Bucko, a camp for kids who have been traumitized by burns. The Ladies Auxillary of the Association of Fire Chiefs are looking for donations including Canadian Tire money. Chief Purcell provided additional information. Chief Jones suggested that at the March meeting in 2007 we make a donation from our Mutual Aid Association.

9.2 Retired member Ed Dempsey from the Gananoque FD talked about getting service medals put together to look better. He will get them mounted together. If anyone wants to get their medals done bring them to the September meeting. Cost is $18 + tax for 2 and the ribbons would be $8 + tax.

10.2 EOFA Field Day is being held on June 24th in Athens
10.3 Chief Barber advised that Terry Gervais has a wildfire presentation that he would bring to the next Mutual Aid meeting.
10.4 Chief Donovan thanked all the departments that assisted them recently
10.5 President Jim Grant thanked the suppliers for coming to our meeting to display their products
