President James Grant called the meeting to order at 19:30 hours, with Chief Purcell acting as Secretary for the meeting. 11 departments were represented, with 52 members in attendance.

1.0 Introduction

Captain Brent Norton welcomed everyone to Prescott.

2.0 Guest Speaker

FPO Dave Balderson, Gananoque introduced Dave Hendin as guest speaker. He spoke about home safety products from St John's Ambulance to be available likely by September 2008 at Canadian Tire and Home Depot. Products included fire blankets, first aid kits and burn gell. St John's Ambulance trains over 600,000 people per year in Canada. President Grant thanked him for speaking.
Chief Tim Bond introduced Randilynne Urslak, daughter of Lt. Randy Urslak, Kemptville. She recited her speech on the fire service. She has won public speaking contests at the local level, the zone level, Ottawa District and placed 2nd in Ajax this spring. She received a standing ovation
Chief Purcell thanked Randilynne and presented her with a gift and Chief Bond presented her with a gift from the Kemptville FD.

3.0 Adoption of Minutes

The minutes of the March 11, 2008 meeting were read and approved.

Thanked Kemptville FD for selling their Fire Hazzard House to them.

Forcible entry course in Gananoque was well attended and an excellent course.
Nest meeting is May 21 at 19:30hrs.

Our budget has been approved by Counties Council.
Defib course of May 25th has been cancelled.
Encouraged all fire departments to sign up with the Vcars program. This is the Victim Crisis Assistance & Referral Service.

Elizabethtown/Kitley Tim Tedford spoke about the Eastern Ontario Extrication Competition they are hosting on June 14th.
