1.0 Introduction
Chief Lorne Doherty welcomed everyone and introduced quests. Reeve John McCrae welcomed everyone to the township and spoke about the value of firefighters.

2.0 Guest Speaker

Gord Mills spoke on Hazardous Materials. Ottawa is the closest HazMat department but we need to use our own resources first. Get Police to request assistance through the Ministry. Instigate call to EMO asap to cover costs and liability. Costs have to be looked after usually by the township or the resident. Not considered mutual aid. Terry Gervais spoke on Wildland Firefighting. 16 volunteers cover 80% of land mass in Ottawa. Adopted McCreadie report @ amalgamation. 2 people from each district met to decide what was needed. Have brush truck with trailer and ATV with access to equipment on both sides of truck. Use a brush tanker which is a 4wd rescue truck with 1500 gallons. In off season they have a snowmobile on the trailer with rescue sled and fortuna. Work with forest management people for access roads etc.
