Steve Ferguson from Class A, Dave Aikin from M&L Supply, George Valade from Aero Fire, Acklands-Grainger, Nancy Sinclair from Camp Bucko.

President James Grant called the meeting to order at 19:30 hours, with 8 departments were represented, with 46 members in attendance.

1.0 Introduction

Chief Allingham welcomed everyone and introduced Mayor Connelly who welcomed everyone as well

2.0 Guest Speaker

Kemptville Deputy Chief Harold Workman introduced Nancy Sinclair, Director of Operations for Camp Bucko. Nancy gave an informative presentation on Camp Bucko. Started in 1995 with 30 children per camp and now includes 80 children and 70 volunteers. The camp builds self confidence in the children to overcome emotional and physical scars from burn injuries. DC Workman explained the Ladies Auxillary of the Ontario Fire Chiefs are major fundraisers and it would be nice to see Leeds and Grenville get behind it. Kemptville, Edwardsburgh/Cardinal and EOFA have donated funds.

Counties endorse the communication report presented by the committee
Communication center looking at going to digital equipment in 2nd quarter of 2009
Sent a letter to Counties for acceptance of the purchase of HazMat vehicle. Looking a training across the counties
Contact Brockville if looking for access to electronic reports
Applications have gone out to look for a replacement of Peter O'Hara as Leeds/Grenville Fire Service Advisor.

DC Dwyre talked about the Canadian Hearing Society and Strobe Light smoke alarms. If anyone is looking for some, contact the office in Brockville
President Grant said he would like to have a budget from each committee by the beginning of 2009
DC Harold Workman requests anyone interested in joining a Camp Bucko committee to contact him. He would like to have a notice placed on the website to contact him.
Chief Jim Donovan made a motion that the association make a $500 donation to Camp Bucko, seconded by Chief Tim Bond, passed unanimous.

12.0 Announcements

Chief Bond announced that James Purcell has been granted the title of Chief Emeritas by Edwardsburgh/Cardinal township.
Chief Jim Donovan put out a challenge to each department to match or double the $500 donation made to Camp Bucko
