President James Grant called the meeting to order at 19:30 hours and welcomed everyone. 10 departments were represented, with 60 active members in attendance. 1.0 Introduction Chief Bennett introduced the mayor of Gananoque, James Garrah who welcomed us. . 2.0 Guest Speaker Chief Bennett introduced the guest speaker, Ameen
Khan from the OPP. He is a court case manager for Stormont Dundas
and Glengarry. He investigated the drowning of 3 people in Ganaoque
in August '09. The victims were muslim and he explained that culture. 3.0 Adoption of Minutes The minutes of the November 17, 2009 meeting were read and approved
4.0 Treasurer's Report Balance of Account - $1157.86
5.0 Correspondence 6.0 Committee Reports 6.1 Health & Welfare - C/E James Purcell, Edwardsburg/Cardinal No activity 6.2 Fire Prevention - Dave Balderson, Gananoque 96 ads were on the radio during Christmas holidays. 64 were
paid by FP committee and 32 were paid by Brockville FD. Also had
ads in papers 6.3 Training Chief Tim Bond said the Training budget is the same as last
year 7.0 Coordinators Report- D/C Chris Dwyre Essentials of Municipal Fire Protection for
Fire Service Leaders course in Kemptville is now full.
Emergency Response Support Plan has been sent out
to all Chiefs. It should be available shortly 9.0 OAFC - Tim Bond Chief Bond is attending a meeting on Labour Relations in Toronto. 10.0 Unfinished Business: Those who were nominated at the last meeting for the executive all agreed to stand. All were acclaimed to their positions. No change to executive. 11.0 New Business
